After Sam Darnold injured his glute on Seattle’s opening drive in Week 1, Drew Lock stepped in and threw for 440 yards and four touchdowns across wins over New England and Arizona. Seattle has not announced when Darnold will return.
Through two weeks, Lock ranks fourth in the NFL in total QBR and fifth in completion percentage over expected at +8.8%; his off-target rate of 8.3% is the league’s fifth-lowest. He attempted only two passes for Seattle during its 2025 championship season.
Darnold remains Seattle’s starter. Many believe he could return in Week 3, though the team has not announced a date. The 2-0 Seahawks face Washington (0-2), which will be without Jayden Daniels after the quarterback dislocated an elbow in a 37-20 loss to Dallas.
