DeSean Jackson said on The Dan Patrick Show that he has not spoken with former Eagles coach Chip Kelly since Philadelphia released him in 2013. He called it a “bonehead mistake,” said it hurt his NFL career and criticized Kelly’s explanation of his departure.
Jackson said he could have respected the Eagles moving in a different direction if Kelly had told him directly. He objected to what he described as references to his upbringing, where he grew up and people he associated with, which he felt cast him as a villain.
