South Carolina Sen. Darline Graham asked Fox News viewers for $5, $10 or $20 donations during a Wednesday interview with Sean Hannity, while seeking a full term in November's election after being appointed to complete her late brother's Senate term.
The interview lasted about 3½ minutes. Hannity kept a photo of Democratic challenger Dr. Annie Andrews holding a “Protect trans kids” sign on screen throughout; Mediaite described his six or seven questions as leading. Graham said Democrats were pouring money into South Carolina to support Andrews.
Lindsey Graham died in July, and Gov. Henry McMaster appointed his sister to finish his term, which ends in January. She is running with President Donald Trump's support against Andrews, a pediatrician. Cook Political Report shifted the race from “solid” Republican to “likely” Republican.
