A senior government official said Tesla CEO Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Google and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai, and Apple CEO Tim Cook are among the tech executives expected. Trump and Xi are both scheduled to give speeches at the dinner.
Xi arrived in Washington Wednesday evening and is due to remain in the US until Friday. His previous US visit was in 2023, when he attended the APEC summit in California and met then-President Joe Biden. Trump invited Xi to the White House during his own visit to Beijing in mid-May.
