On Wednesday, Elon Musk called Xi Jinping a “great leader” and said he had done an “excellent” job in an interview with Chinese state broadcaster CGTN, as Xi began a three-day U.S. state visit featuring a White House dinner Polymarket bettors expected Musk to attend.
Musk told CGTN that China had “prospered immensely” during Xi’s tenure, citing new buildings, infrastructure and what he described as increased prosperity for the average citizen. He said he had seen these changes firsthand.
The summit program includes bilateral talks, cultural events and a formal dinner hosted by President Donald Trump. Polymarket bettors were also reported to expect Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai to attend alongside Musk.
