CurrentBody launched its Series 3 LED face mask Sept. 10, with 750 individually addressable LEDs and six wavelengths users can assign by facial zone through its MyDose system in the CurrentBody app. The U.S. price is $569.99; four clinician-approved presets are also available.
The six options are red (633 nm), near-infrared (830 nm), deep near-infrared (1,072 nm), blue (415 nm), green (532 nm) and yellow (590 nm). The stated routine is 10 minutes per session, three to five times a week; listed irradiance, or light intensity, is up to 40 mW/cm². A matching neck-and-décolletage mask is also available.
CurrentBody cites independent testing of the red and near-infrared wavelengths, reporting a 26.8% improvement in the appearance of brightness and a 57.1% improvement in the appearance of elasticity after four weeks. The company says each mask includes a Veritace NFC card displaying test results for that device; its U.S. listing describes the mask as FDA-cleared.
