Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow on the final play of the first half against Dallas, putting his 2026 season in doubt. Colin Cowherd says Washington may need to consider drafting another quarterback if the Commanders have a top-eight pick in 2027.
The injury follows a season in which Daniels missed 10 games. In his rookie campaign, he helped Washington win 12 games, throwing for 3,568 yards and 25 touchdowns and rushing for 891 yards and six scores. Fellow analyst John Middlekauff said the team's decision could depend on how long Daniels is sidelined and where Washington picks in the 2027 draft.
Teammates appeared to walk past Daniels while trainers treated his elbow. Brandon Coleman said there was “no malice,” and coach Dan Quinn said players had been told they could not remain on the field once halftime arrived.
