CNN said it was barred from accompanying President Donald Trump on Saturday’s trip to Tennessee for a college football game; the broadcaster had been scheduled to fly on his plane as part of the White House television pool, but was omitted from the White House press schedule.
The omission follows Trump’s ban last week on CNN, MS NOW and Politico from the White House, after he accused the outlets of spreading false information. A judge ordered the White House to temporarily restore access to journalists from all three outlets.
ABC, CBS, CNN, Fox News and NBC take turns covering the president’s events as the television pool, sharing footage with other media.
