The decision comes amid a wider White House-media dispute. Trump last week barred CNN, Politico and MS NOW journalists from the White House, accusing them of publishing “fiction or lies”; the three outlets said they were pursuing legal action over what they called violations of their constitutional press and free-speech rights. A federal judge later ruled the ban was likely unconstitutional and ordered access restored, at least for now. White House coverage resumed Friday, though some CNN and MS NOW reporters had been denied access to Thursday’s state-dinner arrivals.
