Clemson beat California 24-10 on the road to move to 2-0 in the ACC. After California tied the score at 10 in the second half, Bryant Wesco returned a punt for a touchdown and Gideon Davidson broke the game open with a 75-yard run.
California took a 7-0 lead when Kamar Muthodi recovered a Tait Reynolds fumble and returned it 35 yards for a touchdown. Reynolds also threw an interception; Clemson’s Elliot Washington picked off two passes, including the late interception that ended California’s final comeback attempt.
The writer says Clemson has dominated the fourth quarter in consecutive wins over North Carolina and California. Miami is due to visit Death Valley next week.
