James Carville called Trump’s Washington makeover personal, saying Trump dislikes the capital’s architecture and the Constitution’s “inherent modesty.” MS NOW reported officials were considering adding Trump’s name to Ford’s Theatre; Trump called it false.
Carville also named the Lincoln Memorial, Arlington National Cemetery, the reflecting pool and the White House as places he believes Trump has targeted, and accused him of wanting to “destroy Washington.”
Trump said on Truth Social that he would not want his name attached to Ford’s Theatre, calling it “such a tragic place.” An earlier effort to put his name on the Kennedy Center failed.
