Marcus Washington Jr., a 2029 three-star quarterback at Cajon High School in California, has committed to Kentucky, choosing the Wildcats over Arizona, Arizona State, Michigan, North Carolina, Texas A&M and other programs. The sophomore has no national ranking yet.
Kentucky first offered Washington in May and hosted him for an unofficial visit in Lexington on Sept. 12. The article says the Wildcats’ 31-21 upset of No. 9 Texas A&M further solidified his interest.
Kentucky’s quarterback pipeline also includes Kenny Minchey, expected to lead the team this season and next; Matt Ponatoski, who could take over in 2028; and 2027 four-star quarterback Jake Nawrot, who is also committed. Washington’s recruitment could still change.
