At Caleb Flynn’s murder trial, Alleigha Botner, who testified they had an affair, said he texted he was willing to sacrifice his daughters, $250,000, his job and home to be with her. Flynn is accused of fatally shooting wife Ashley on Feb. 16 and has pleaded not guilty.
Botner also read messages in which she said she wanted Ashley dead, including one saying she wanted to kill her. Prosecutors allege Flynn texted shortly before the killing that he had spent a long time thinking of “ways to kill” Ashley and had chosen Botner; he is also accused of staging the scene to look like a burglary.
Ashley was fatally shot in the couple’s Tipp City, Ohio, home while their daughters, then 9 and 11, were asleep in the next room. Flynn has pleaded not guilty to murder, aggravated murder, felonious assault, tampering with evidence and witness intimidation.
