Butler equalizes with 10 seconds left for 1-1 draw against Marquette

Marquette drew 1-1 with Butler in Saturday’s Big East opener in Indianapolis after Gemma Gillespie scored with 10 seconds left. Haley Christianson had put the Golden Eagles ahead in the 75th minute; it was Marquette’s fifth draw in 10 matches.

Marquette’s next match is a Wednesday road game at Georgetown, scheduled for 6 p.m. Central on ESPN+. The Hoyas are 3-3-2 after opening Big East play with a 4-3 loss to Xavier.
