Brooke Hogan says her late father, Hulk Hogan, slept with her friend Christiane Plante, marking a turning point in their relationship. She forgave him but felt their bond changed; Plante confirmed an affair in 2008, saying the Hogans privately knew their marriage was ending.
Hulk and Linda Hogan finalized their divorce in 2009 after 26 years of marriage; the bitter divorce lasted two years. Brooke said it changed the family structure, where love coexisted with dysfunction, resentment and decades of unresolved hurt.
Hulk died of a heart attack in July 2025 at 71. Brooke said she stepped away during the last two years to protect her heart; she also described him as an excellent father for a very long time.
