Brentford have begun initial talks with Kevin Schade over a long-term contract, Sky Sports reports, as they seek to fend off interest from Arsenal and Liverpool. The forward has scored three times in five Premier League games this season; his current deal runs to 2028.
Schade joined from Freiburg in June 2023 on a five-year deal for a fee reported at about £20 million. He scored eight Premier League goals and made four assists in 35 appearances last season. Manager Keith Andrews has called him important to the squad and said he wants him to stay.
The report says Arsenal’s interest may be linked to the departures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard, while Liverpool could view Schade as an option on the opposite flank. Chelsea and Tottenham had also monitored him previously.
