Brandi Glanville was Season 5’s first recruit to leave “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test”: staff medically withdrew her on Day 1 after she reported chest pain when breathing following a helicopter-dive challenge and said she had a cracked sternum.
The 15 recruits began the Malaysia course with a backward jump from a helicopter into the water, followed by a swim to a floating platform. Glanville jumped despite being terrified, over-rotated and landed on her stomach; she reached the platform swimming on her back.
George Santos completed the dive but needed Oliver Hudson’s help to get out of the water; Collin Gosselin, David Charvet, LeSean McCoy and Hannah Stocking also failed the mission. Ruby Rose was permitted to jump feet-first for medical reasons related to a past broken neck. No other recruit was eliminated, and the group continues on Day 2 next week.
