Boeing delivered 418 aircraft through August 2026, its highest eight-month total since 2018. August deliveries fell to 51 from 57 a year earlier, including four 787 Dreamliners, but a company spokesperson said Boeing still expects to deliver 90–100 Dreamliners this year.
The 54 Dreamliners delivered through August leave 36–46 more needed in the final four months to meet the full-year target. Boeing said the year-on-year decline in August 787 handovers was not caused by production, supply-chain or certification problems.
The 737 MAX accounted for 41 of August’s deliveries, including nine to Southwest, eight to United and five to aircraft lessor AerCap. Boeing booked 15 orders that month—two MAXs and 13 787s, all for unidentified customers—with no cancellations. Its adjusted order total for 2026 was 453 through August. Airbus delivered 57 aircraft and booked 67 orders in August.
