Director Bobby Roth’s documentary “Lightworkers,” about how artists, politicians and activists respond to injustice and defend democracy, will be available for online screenings on Sept. 29, Oct. 6 and Oct. 14, with capacity for up to 5,000 viewers each night.
The film intercuts interviews with historical footage spanning the Holocaust, the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and ICE raids. Tom Morello recalls trying to write about apartheid for his high school newspaper, while Lee Grant recounts being blacklisted in Hollywood for 12 years. David Hogg, Jamie Raskin, Adam Kinzinger and Freedom Rider Peggy Preacely also appear.
