Athens rescuers find two unconscious in rubble, search for four more

Rescuers recovered two people unconscious from the rubble of a two-story building that collapsed in a blast Friday in Athens’ Plaka district and were searching for four others Saturday. The mayor said a massive gas leak was believed to have caused the blast.

Two women were injured in an adjacent building, fire brigades said; Athens Mayor Haris Doukas said nearby buildings were also damaged and evacuated.

The search involved 30 firefighters and three dogs. An investigation into the blast was underway.
