Florida prosecutors dropped all charges against Lindsey Isaacs, arrested on eight felony counts in a case involving a Flock record placing her SUV 2–3 miles from a crash that killed three people. She testified to a Senate panel that she spent about 86 hours in solitary.
The crash occurred on Interstate 4 in Volusia County on Oct. 4, 2025, and investigators were seeking a Dodge Durango. Reports said witnesses had described a vehicle of a different color and that Isaacs’ SUV lacked expected damage. Automated license-plate reader records show only that a vehicle was near a place at a particular time; they do not establish who was driving or whether it caused a crash. Flock has said its cameras are designed to provide leads, not determine identity or guilt.
Fox 35 reported that investigators identified Alisa Montalvo as the suspected driver. The Center Square reported that after solitary confinement Isaacs spent roughly a day in a mental-health unit, then moved to maximum-security housing for the rest of her 13 days in custody. Isaacs has sued Florida Highway Patrol troopers and the agency; her civil claims are pending in court.
