Washington Commanders defensive coordinator Daronte Jones mentioned “communication” 25 times during a 15-minute news conference, according to reporter Martenzie Johnson, who said Jones appeared to see it as central to the defense’s problems.

A separate report said Washington’s defense needed to limit explosive plays, particularly from JSN and the Seahawks. Cornerback Amik Robertson said the team had approached practice differently and wanted to be more detailed.
