Travis Etienne Jr. has 71 rushing yards on 17 carries and 38 receiving yards in two games after joining New Orleans on a $48 million deal. He shares work with Alvin Kamara; a Bleacher Report analyst says the Saints may regret the signing, but two weeks are too early to judge.
Etienne ran for 1,107 yards and seven touchdowns on 260 carries for Jacksonville last season, adding 292 receiving yards and six scores. His 4.2 yards per touch in New Orleans is below last season's 4.7 and is the lowest rate of his career.
Etienne has played 57% of the Saints' snaps through two weeks and shared backfield touches with Kamara, CJ Donaldson and Keandre Miller. Of his $48 million deal, $28 million is guaranteed.
