Arizona drew 1-1 at Kansas State for its second straight Big 12 tie. Gabby DeMers put K-State ahead with a long-range goal before Ally Brown equalized in the 58th minute; Kansas State outshot Arizona 20-10 as driving rain fell in the second half.
Kansas State challenged two apparent handballs by Arizona defenders in the penalty area. After reviews, officials ruled neither met the criteria for a penalty kick. K-State had used both challenges, so the third apparent handball was not reviewed.
Arizona is 3-4-3 overall and 0-0-2 in Big 12 play; Kansas State is 5-1-4 overall and 0-1-1 in conference. Arizona’s next match is at Kansas on Sunday, Sept. 27, at 11 a.m. MST.
