A’ja Wilson said she was glad the woman she accidentally knocked down in the Aces’ pregame tunnel was OK. The collision happened Thursday before Las Vegas played the Phoenix Mercury; Wilson said Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart sent her alternate angles after the clip went viral.
The woman had stepped toward the opening in the curtain as Wilson ran through; she fell and her headset came off, then signaled she was okay. Wilson joked that the collision knocked her pregame gum out of her mouth.
One version of the video on X had 11.3 million views and more than 126,000 likes. The Aces beat the Mercury 100-82 to secure the No. 3 seed; Wilson scored 34 points and had 10 rebounds. Las Vegas will host Game 1 against the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
