LSU coach Lane Kiffin called Saturday’s game against his former team, Ole Miss, “their Super Bowl” after LSU lost 32-24. Ole Miss led 24-7 at halftime, gave up the lead, then intercepted LSU quarterback Sam Leavitt in the end zone to stop LSU’s late drive.
Kiffin took the LSU job on Nov. 30 last year after leading Ole Miss to an 11-1 regular-season record. He said LSU had “multiple chances to win” late and needed to learn from the loss and finish.
Ole Miss is 3-0 and next plays Florida. LSU will host Texas A&M this Saturday, with kickoff set for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
