Justin Cooper said on the “Not So Little Rascals” podcast that his mother later told him she had kept prison mail from him after “Liar Liar” brought him fame; he recalled letters from incarcerated men calling him a cute kid and saying they were fans.
Cooper was 8 when the 1997 comedy starring Jim Carrey was released. He said he could not go out in public without being recognized and recalled people lining up at his Hometown Buffet table for autographs. He enjoyed the attention, though he thought it probably annoyed his family.
