After leaving a business she built for five years, Celia Perdios, 45, is documenting a six-month effort to start another. She says she has no job, money is a major stress and her Instagram following has risen from 148 to over 4,000, toward her goal of 5,000 women by Oct. 19.
Perdios intends for the community she is building to become part of her new brand. At the six-month mark, she hopes to have a successful business, create a product that helps those women and gain greater financial security.
Perdios says she spent nearly 20 years building global beauty and consumer brands. While living in New York, she says she knew she was unhappy despite having a career that looked successful on paper; she eventually left the city and moved to Barcelona.
