73% of Corn Nation poll voters expect Nebraska to reach Indiana unbeaten

An early-week Corn Nation poll found 73% expected Nebraska to win its first two Big Ten games and reach its Oct. 10 home game against defending champion Indiana unbeaten. Nebraska later beat Michigan State 31-13; kickoff time and TV network remained unset.

Other fan polls had 3% of Michigan State respondents predicting the Spartans’ 31-13 loss to Nebraska. Among Maryland voters, 20% picked a Maryland win, while 68% predicted a loss by at least eight points and 23% a blowout; UCLA won 54-3. Separately, 44% in a national poll favored Ole Miss’s Trinidad Chambliss for the Heisman before Florida beat Ole Miss 52-28.
