Zelensky sees no sign Putin is ready to end war soon

Volodymyr Zelensky said Saturday he sees no sign Vladimir Putin is ready to end the war, accusing him of seeking pretexts to avoid talks and keep fighting. Zelensky said Ukraine is working with global partners to encourage Russia to end the war.

Zelensky said Putin’s attitude had not changed for years and cited the latest meeting with the U.S. president as evidence. He said a will must emerge in Russia to spend money on something other than death so the desire to end the war can arise.
