Zelensky says Russian strikes belie Moscow’s peace overtures

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned Russia’s latest strikes on Kiev and other cities, saying people were killed and the Saudi ambassador’s residence was damaged. He accused Moscow of using peace signals to delay Western sanctions or responses.

Zelensky said attacks on childcare facilities, schools and residential buildings would be considered terrorism anywhere in the world. He also said the strikes had no military objectives and were intended to break people and harm Ukrainian society.

Zelensky said Ukraine expected effective decisions and strong pressure from its partners so that Moscow would not gain more time for the war.
