Yankees’ World Series hopes hinge on Aaron Judge’s availability, MLB exec says

An MLB executive quoted by ESPN’s Jorge Castillo said the Yankees have “no chance” of reaching the World Series without Aaron Judge, whose calf issue leaves his availability uncertain for a likely Wild Card series against Boston.

The Yankees were 91-67 with four games remaining, while Tampa Bay had won the AL East and earned a first-round bye. If New York advances past Boston, it would face the Rays in the ALDS. The report says Judge should be ready for that round, but it is not guaranteed.
