Xbox exec says GTA 6 preorders are breaking records despite PS5 lead

Xbox executive Matthew Ball refuted a report that Microsoft is unhappy with GTA 6 preorders, saying the game is breaking Xbox records and Xbox’s preorder share matches its share of the console market. Sensor Tower puts PS5 at 77% of presales and Xbox at 23%.
Sensor Tower’s figures put Xbox at 1.3 million presale copies and $128 million in revenue, compared with PS5’s 4.35 million copies and $426 million.
Grand Theft Auto 6 is set for release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
