X users singled out Brunson’s ‘High School Musical’ sketch on SNL

Fans on X favored “High School Musical the New Generation” in Jalen Brunson’s SNL debut. He played a new student given a second chance on the basketball team, then impressed its members with dunks, dribbling and a song to win over Jay’s girlfriend.

Brunson appeared in eight sketches, excluding the monologue. He was the first NBA player to host SNL since 2007.
