The Warriors announced Friday that Stephen Curry has agreed to a two-year, $116 million extension beginning in 2027-28, with a player option for 2028-29. Curry is leaving more than $20 million on the table compared with the maximum he could have sought.
The new contract years average $58 million annually; Curry is set to earn a little more than $62.5 million this season. If he plays in Golden State through 2028-29, it would be his 20th season with the franchise and make him the fourth player in NBA history to spend at least 20 seasons with one team.
