Wake Forest upset No. 16 Louisville 30-27 on the road Saturday, improving to 3-1. The Demon Deacons held on after the Cardinals missed two field-goal chances to tie, including a blocked 57-yard attempt with 22 seconds left; Louisville fell to 2-2.
Carlos Hernandez caught nine passes for 194 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown, while quarterback Gio Lopez completed 12 of 19 passes for 225 yards. Ty Clark II scored twice on the ground, and Connor Calvert’s 32-yard field goal with 6:20 left put Wake Forest ahead 30-27.
