Undefeated welterweight Jacobe Smith (12-0) is set to face UFC newcomer Bruce Whitehead (8-2) at UFC 332 on Oct. 3, 2026, at Salt Lake City’s Delta Center; Smith is stepping in on nine days’ notice, MMAmania.com reports, citing multiple sources.
Whitehead knocked out Ali Abouzalam in Fury FC 124’s main event 13 days before UFC 332 and is on a two-fight winning streak after a 2025 stoppage loss to Victor Valenzuela. Smith’s recent UFC run includes a Performance of the Night win over Josiah Harrell, a submission of Niko Price and a 73-second victory over Preston Parsons.
Smith had been booked to face Kevin Holland at UFC Oklahoma City in July, but Holland withdrew from the fight.
