Twiggy attributes her 1960s slim frame to metabolism, says she ate everything

In the new documentary Twiggy, the model says she ate everything during her 1960s peak and attributes her slender frame to her metabolism, adding that her father had the same build. She recalls facing scrutiny and accusations of disordered eating as a teenager.

Twiggy says her body has changed since she was young and that she cannot eat the same way now; she tries to eat healthily. Directed by Sadie Frost, the documentary is available on VOD and DVD.

Twiggy says her pixie cut came about by chance: hairdresser Leonard asked to cut her hair at a salon, and she was too shy to refuse. After a photographer took her picture for the salon, then-Vogue editor Diana Vreeland contacted her and encouraged a shoot with Richard Avedon.
