At the UN Tuesday, President Donald Trump told CNN's Kaitlan Collins she should not cover him, claiming CNN had said it would not cover him. Collins said the UN had let her in and asked when the Iran war would end; Trump replied that the US was making progress.
The previous week, Trump announced on Truth Social that CNN, MS NOW and Politico would be barred from the White House, accusing them of “FAKE NEWS.” Collins later said CNN had never said it would stop covering him. The three outlets announced Monday that they were suing over the ban; according to MS NOW, the lawsuit argues it disregards First Amendment and due-process protections.
