Tom Kim may leave the Presidents Cup early to prepare for Asian Games

The Associated Press reported Tom Kim is likely to leave Medinah before Sunday's Presidents Cup finish for the Asian Games in Japan, which start Wednesday. He is 3-1 and due to face Wyndham Clark in singles as the International Team leads 10.5-7.5.

A gold medal in either the individual or team competition at the Asian Games would exempt Kim from South Korea's mandatory military service. Most South Korean men are legally required to serve 18 to 21 months.
