In its Wednesday report, Texas listed Justus Terry, Xavier Filsaime and Jordan Coleman as out, and Nick Townsend as doubtful, for Saturday’s 11 a.m. CT SEC opener against No. 14 Tennessee. Hollywood Smothers is questionable, while Colin Simmons is probable.
Coach Steve Sarkisian said Simmons’ boot was precautionary and that he did not believe the injury was serious. He said the same about safety Kobe Black, who is not listed after missing the UTSA game, and said Texas would continue assessing Terry and Townsend.
On3 reported that Smothers is dealing with a lower-body injury. Terry is set to miss his third consecutive game.
