Texas defensive end Colin Simmons drew an unsportsmanlike-conduct penalty for miming urination after a sack against Tennessee on Sept. 26. The 15-yard penalty gave Tennessee an automatic first down; Simmons later apologized, and Texas won 20-17.
Simmons went on to record three more sacks, finishing with five and tying Texas’ single-game program record, according to Yahoo Sports.
Coach Steve Sarkisian said he took Simmons out, addressed the celebration and put him back in. He said the team would discuss controlling emotions on Monday and that the celebration could not continue.
