Ohio State has given Terry Moore only 33 defensive snaps in its first three games. The Duke transfer had four interceptions in 2024, when opposing quarterbacks posted a 46.1 passer rating when targeting him; Jaylen McClain and Earl Little Jr. lead the safety rotation.
Moore played 19 snaps against Ball State, none against Texas and 14 against Kent State. At Texas, McClain played 80 snaps and Little 71, while Simeon Caldwell had five. Against Kent State, McClain played 34 snaps, Little 31 and Caldwell 12; Leroy Roker III and freshman Blaine Bradford also saw action.
Moore started all 13 games for Duke in 2024, recording 71 tackles, seven tackles for loss, six pass breakups and two forced fumbles. He missed all of 2025 with a torn ACL. Ohio State could be managing his return, while Roker and Caldwell may have specific defensive-package roles; these are possibilities, not confirmed explanations for Moore’s limited snaps.
