Jayden Daniels dislocated his left elbow just before halftime of Washington’s 37-20 loss to Dallas. Former NFL receiver Terrell Owens said the Commanders’ training staff “failed him,” while noting he did not know what offseason rehabilitation Daniels had completed.
Daniels had dislocated the same elbow against Seattle in November 2025 and returned after missing four games. A fall after an interception against Minnesota in December ended his season, though the elbow did not dislocate again. ESPN’s Sam Block reported that Daniels might be out for quite a while.
The injury occurred on Washington’s third-and-goal play from the 1-yard line, the final snap before halftime. Chris Spencer argued in hindsight that a field goal could have avoided the injury; coach Dan Quinn said he did not regret going for a touchdown.
