ESPN confirmed Sept. 24 that Taylor McGregor is leaving Marquee Sports Network’s Cubs coverage for a full-time role at ESPN. The Chicago Tribune reports she will cover the NBA, with college basketball and more SportsCenter hosting also possible.
McGregor told the Tribune the move was a difficult decision and an opportunity to grow at ESPN. She said she loves daily baseball but, after nine years of doing it, felt ready for more time in her personal life.
McGregor joined ESPN in 2019 as a college football and UFL sideline reporter, before Marquee Sports Network launched in 2020. She has worked Saturday college football broadcasts, primarily on ESPN and ABC.
