In an Instagram Reel, Tarek El Moussa reflected on his divorce from Christina Haack and health problems, saying he lost touch with himself; he credits a focus on his wellbeing and personal growth with helping him rebuild and says he is grateful for his blended family.
He said he was diagnosed with two types of cancer, underwent what he called an “awful” back surgery and turned to testosterone injections to regain energy, but that things worsened. After the split, he said he checked himself into a halfway house, where he learned to improve his eating habits and gradually regain strength.
El Moussa later married Heather Rae El Moussa, and they have a son, Tristan. He and Haack share two children; El Moussa described himself as part of a blended family that includes Haack and her partner, Chris Larocca.
