The extension's first year pays $55.7 million; Golden State could have offered Curry a two-year maximum worth about $136.7 million. The projected maximum salary slot for the 2027 offseason is approximately $61.6 million.
Earlier in the week, Curry told ESPN he wanted the Warriors to remain competitive and have flexibility to make meaningful moves. Before the extension, Golden State had about $43 million in guaranteed 2027-28 salary, with several major contracts coming off the books.
