After Pittsburgh’s 20-3 loss to New England, eight outlets ranked the Steelers 18th to 27th in their post-Week 2 power rankings, down from a range of 16th to 23rd the week before. Several faulted the offense; Pittsburgh next hosts 2-0 Cincinnati.
USA Today placed Pittsburgh 27th, the lowest in the roundup, while Pro Football Talk had it 18th, the highest. FOX Sports and The Athletic ranked the Steelers 21st; CBS Sports put them 22nd, Yahoo 23rd, ESPN 25th and NFL.com 26th.
Yahoo’s Frank Schwab noted Pittsburgh had attempted 81 passes, third-most in the league, and scored one offensive touchdown in eight quarters. ESPN’s Brooke Pryor reported Aaron Rodgers had completed 8 of 24 attempts under pressure and been sacked six times on such plays.
