US captain Brandt Snedeker said he may have made the wrong call pairing Justin Thomas with Cameron Young in Friday’s Presidents Cup foursomes. The duo lost 3&2 to Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout as the International Team swept the session.
Snedeker said he had considered the pairing and chose it because both players had performed well Thursday. Thomas had partnered Jackson Koivun in a fourballs win, and Snedeker said the choice seemed right at the time, though he might later conclude otherwise.
It was the second consecutive Presidents Cup in which Team USA were swept on Friday.
