Tarik Skubal allowed three hits and struck out 10 in seven scoreless innings as the Dodgers beat the Giants 2-0 Friday in his final regular-season start before the postseason. He threw 75 pitches and heads into the first-round bye on a high note.
Teoscar Hernández put Los Angeles ahead with a solo homer in the second, and Andy Pages added another two batters later, his first homer since returning from the injured list that week. Roki Sasaki pitched a perfect eighth in relief, and Tanner Scott closed the ninth for the save.
Skubal's outing left him with a 2.72 regular-season ERA and a 2.61 ERA since the Dodgers acquired him from the Detroit Tigers at the trade deadline. He retired 13 of the final 14 batters he faced.
